The existence of the parish church in Calvera is confirmed by an ancient document that certifies the presence of a priest to the diocesan synod of 1526 and the current of San Gaetano of the chapel bell, cast in 1618 , belonging to the ancient bell tower.Calvera , in March of 1885 , was overwhelmed by a huge landslide , as told by the steward cared era don Domenico Calabrese .
